Supporting Communities Through Digital Cultural Tourism

WEBINAR 19 September 2024,  9:30am – 12pm CEST

“Supporting Communities Through Digital Cultural Tourism” is the second part of a webinar series organised by the UNESCO Chair Digital Cultural Heritage Lab at Cyprus University of Technology (one of the EUreka3D partners) within the EU funded TExTOUR Project as part of the Joint Action Anfeh-Fikardou City Lab in cooperation with project partner GAIA-Heritage, Lebanon.

These sessions will introduce the potential use of digitised cultural heritage resources to boost cultural tourism, raise awareness about sustainability, and how to prepare for digitisation with the involvement of communities in the management and socio-economic development of places.

The first speech will be delivered by Antonella Fresa, EUreka3D coordinator, under the title “Understanding, preserving & communicating the character of monuments, sites & cultural landscapes in the digital sphere: The impact of 3D & the cloud on digital cultural tourism”.
