The EUreka3D Initiative curated three self-paced courses published on the Europeana Training Platform, dedicated to Cultural Heritage professionals and other learners who are embarking in a new journey with 3D digitisation and extended reality projects.

Developed by domain experts, and complemented with self-assessment exercises, resources and additional readings, the courses provide the foundation for understanding 3D and XR in cultural heritage, its complexity and the elements that influence the quality of the end result, and discovering how XR technology and tools can help innovation in cultural heritage and user engagement.

The courses are completely open and free of charge.

A certificate of attendance is released at the successful completion of the courses.

This self-paced course “Planning XR projects for cultural heritage“, a follow-up course to “Introduction to XR for cultural heritage” is aimed at Cultural Heritage professionals, XR-focused project managers and coordinators, educators, researcher and enthusiasts of XR. The course explores the core concepts of Extended Reality, discover why XR matters for heritage and provides information around the EUreka3D-XR ecosystem and the tools that support the creation of XR experiences.
